Privacy Statement Information Collection and Use

The University of New Mexico's Division of Human Resources (UNM HR) collects information from our users at several different points on our website. UNM HR is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not disclose this information to any organization except as disclosed in this statement. Registration

Our site's registration forms require users to give us contact information (like their name and email address). Unique identifiers (such as the user's email address) are collected to verify the user's identity and for use as a unique user name in our record system.

This site requires cookies to be enabled on the user's browser. A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. A cookie file can contain information such as a user ID that the site uses to track the pages you have visited. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. The only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. A cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site.

System Software and Log Files

We use IP addresses and browser detection to analyze trends, administer the site and help diagnose problems with our system software and servers. Your IP address is used to gather broad demographic information for aggregated use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

This website takes every precaution to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line. While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. All employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. When new policies are added, our employees are notified and /or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our users information is protected.
