HR Symposia

The HR Symposia are designed to incorporate HR developmental opportunities that will together meet the following five objectives:

To develop core knowledge of Human Resources including staff planning and employment; staff compensation and benefits; employment laws, regulations, and UNM policies and procedures; performance management ; and occupational health and safety.

To enhance knowledge, skills and abilities in the areas of communication; conflict management; managing change; strategic management; and team building.

To build a network of HR professionals and encourage the sharing of best HR practices.

To acquire HR support and understand the resources available here at UNM.

To stay abreast of changes in the HR field and to strive to improve communications.

The HR Symposia takes place on the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 10 am to 12pm. Locations alternate every month between Main Campus and the Health Sciences Center.
