The end of the semester is upon us, and we recognize this is a busy
week. Therefore, we have canceled the HR Symposium scheduled for May 11
from 10:00 to 11:30. In its place, we have included a few announcements
for your information.
Open Enrollment Ends May 11
All Benefits-Eligible employees should have received our numerous
Open Enrollment communications. However, we would like to ask for your
assistance in communicating this important information to the employees
in your units. With your help, we can ensure all employees are aware of
this time sensitive information. Here is the Open Enrollment information

Planning to Retire July 1, 2016
Employees retiring after July 1, 2016 must be enrolled in UNM medical
and/or dental insurance for five consecutive years, immediately
preceding retirement, to be eligible to participate in UNM's retiree
medical and/or dental plan. If you, or anyone in your unit, are planning
to retire on July 1, 2016, it is important to enroll in UNM benefits
during this years Open Enrollment in order to meet the five year
qualification requirement. Other policy provisions remain in effect. To

Pilot - UNMJobs Staff Hiring Proposal Certification
Process
Effective July 1, 2011, the Division of Human Resources will launch a
UNMJobs Staff Hiring Proposal Certification Process that will be piloted
to a select group of departments across campus. The departments will
represent Academic Affairs, Administration, and Health Sciences Center.
As a result of the pilot, we will improve processes through automation
and enhancement of job aides and training materials ensuring compliance
with University Business Policies and Procedures Manual.
The Division of Human Resources will host two Forums to discuss the
certification process in more detail. Please join us at the upcoming
UNMJobs Forum held on May 17, 2011, from 10:30-11:30, in the SUB, Acoma
A&B, or the second UNMJobs Forum to be held May 19, 2011, from
1:30-2:30, in BMSB, Room 303. All UNMJobs Forum dates and times are
