UNM Salary Tier Contribution Schedule to Insurance
Effective July 1, 2012, the salary tier contribution schedule, or “split,” will be adjusted. UNM will contribute 80% (the maximum the State of New Mexico will allow) of the premium for full-time, active employees earning less than $35,000 per year; 70% for those earning between $35,000 and $50,000; and 60% of the premium for employees earning $50,000 or more per year. For employees impacted, UNM will contribute more to minimize the premium increase. For more information please see the Salary Tier Contribution Schedule Adjustment for Insurance Benefits article and UNM's Contribution to the Cost of Insurance effective July 1, 2012.
