Worksite Wellness

Health Education Consultants offer guidance and recommendations to help support and sustain a healthy culture at your worksite. Our consultants work with department leaders/managers and identified staff to conduct a needs assessment, identify interests, develop a plan, and evaluate effectiveness.

The EHPP consultant will provide ongoing expert advice and recommendations for wellness initiatives at the individual, organizational, and environmental levels. Initiatives may include customized, on-site educational presentations, lifestyle campaigns, and measurements.

The Health Education Consultant will initially meet with the department management and identified department "Wellness Advocate." The identified Wellness Advocate will serve as the liaison with EHPP. As the liaison, the department Wellness Advocate will:

  • Solicit and/or provide input on wellness programs for the department
  • Promote wellness activities and events actively
  • Be a wellness role model
  • Serve as a motivator

Note: Anyone interested in establishing a healthy culture at their worksite is a Wellness Advocate. The Wellness Advocate does NOT need to be a "regular marathon runner" or "vegetarians." In fact, someone who may be struggling with his or her wellness could potentially make a good Wellness Advocate because this employee may better understand what others are going through.

Not sure where to start? A Healthy Culture Assessment can help you identify organizational opportunities within your workplace that can support healthy initiatives. Use this tool to work with an EHPP Health Education Consultant to build a healthier culture in your work area.
