Accounting and Finance Study
The Human Resources Division, in close collaboration with representatives from Main Campus and HSC, completed a review of staff classifications within the Accounting and Finance job family. This review covered 12 existing job titles, represented by over 250 employees throughout the university. This initiative is in support of recruitment and retention efforts in these essential jobs.
This review may have the ultimate effect of realigning the pay grade of one or more of the identified classifications.
Any grade modifications will be market-based and not the result of reclassifications. This means that such changes, will not, per UNM policy, trigger pay increases for individual employees except in those unique circumstances in which an employee’s salary rate falls below the minimum of the new pay range. Therefore, the impact of this review on departmental budgets is likely to be minimal.
