Technical Training Consultant
Ryan is an Education professional with a variety of experience. He will soon have a Master’s degree in Organization, Instruction, and Learning Sciences and holds a B.S in Biology and Secondary Education. He is also Quality Matters (QM) certified and has worked extensively teaching online and with technology. Ryan has been with UNM since 2013 and joined the EOD team in 2016. At work, Ryan is motivated by helping people claim agency and autonomy over their professional lives, especially when it comes to using technology.
As a previous professional video game player, Ryan enjoys using his spare time evaluating single player games and vigorously competing in multiplayer games; they don’t call him Ryan the Lion for nothing.
Training Support Analyst
Cynthia is originally from Mexico and earned her Bachelor’s degree from UNM in 2015. She joined the Employee and Organizational Development department in 2011 and is an essential part of the administrative operations. She also provides presentations for New Employee Orientation and other required training topics. She has worked at UNM for twelve years and has successfully served the community as a member of the Administrative Support Alliance and the Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education organizations.
As a culinary enthusiast, Cynthia enjoys traveling with her husband to experience new places and enjoy the food of various cultures.
Senior Organizational Development Consultant
Mary brings 20 years’ experience in leadership development, employee engagement, communications, survey design, and program management, gained primarily in the financial services industry. She has built complex, high level leadership development programs for executive management, led a training department, and implemented a company-wide engagement survey to 15,000+ creating a global action plan.
Mary has a big picture focus, and her approach centers on making sure the right questions are asked before diagnosing issues and building solutions. She believes leadership can be and is exhibited at all levels of an organization. Mary views developmental experiences of all kinds as a process rather than an event, and is passionate about how learning can be made ‘sticky’ to positively influence the individual’s day-to-day experience.
Training and Development Consultant
Judy has over forty years of teaching, coaching, training, and leadership positions working with all ages of people with diverse backgrounds. Her curriculum writing experience allows her to understand student learners and implement proven teaching methods. As a former Air Force officer, Judy held multiple leadership positions inside and outside of the United States. Her military experience equipped her with leadership, management and training skills with a variety of individuals and teams. Prior to joining the Employee and Organizational Development department in late 2013, Judy provided and coordinated employee training at a major entertainment & theme park corporation. She is DDI-Certified Facilitator in leadership and management.
Senior Organizational Development Consultant
Jillian is a seasoned organization development professional with a passion and specific skills to support transformation at individual, group and system levels. Her training in Motivational Interviewing, Gestalt theory and practice and Mediation allow her partner with clients in multiple ways. She has experience in a wide-range of industries and has been with UNM Human Resources since October of 2014. Jillian’s ability to connect to people and groups is a hallmark of her success.
Jillian is a past Sandia Prep Board member and served on the Southwest Women’s Law Center as a member and President. She is also a current member of the International Coaches Federation’s local chapter and the local chapter of Association for Talent Development.
Organizational Development Consultant
Shary is a certified Human Resources Professional with fifteen years of experience in a variety of industries. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is also a certified facilitator through Development Dimensions International (DDI). She has been with UNM since 2012 and joined the EOD team in 2014.
At work, Shary is motivated by making connections with people, and by facilitating individuals and organizations through growth and transformation. For fun outside of work, she enjoys hiking the beautiful New Mexico terrain and crafts such as: crocheting, beading and papermaking.
