Communication Tools

There are several Communication Tools available in WebCT:

  1. Announcements allow you to post important information in a central location for your course
  2. Mail allows you to Send messages to other users in the course; there's no need to know student email addresses
  3. Discussion is the primary venue for fully online courses to conduct class discussions in an asynchronous way; users post and respond to messages on specific topics
  4. Chat/whiteboard allows chat with other users in the course in real time, or use the Whiteboard to display images
  5. Who's Online is the instant messaging tool available in WebCT; allows you to chat with other users who are logged into WebCT at the same time.
