Open Enrollment for the 2025-2026 Plan Year (July 1—June 30) is scheduled for April 23 - May 9, and we will be sending more detailed information soon. In the meantime, we want to give you a heads up of what to expect for the 2024-2025 Plan Year.
All copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and out-of-pocket maximum levels will remain the same for medical and prescription drug benefits. Also, there will be no change to dental plans through Delta Dental of NM or vision coverage through VSP. A rate increase is anticipated for the medical plan premiums. There will be no rate change for dental or vision plan premiums.
As a benefits-eligible employee, Open Enrollment (OE) is your annual opportunity to enroll in or make changes to your UNM medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance plans. OE is also your opportunity to enroll or re-enroll in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for health care, dependent care, or both. Benefit changes made during Open Enrollment are effective July 1, 2025.
