Do you want to make a difference in New Mexico? Are you driven to help those in need in our community?
If your answer is “YES!”, help make a difference during the UNM Gives United Way Campaign! From October 1st through November 30th, Lobos will have the opportunity to participate in fun events and win prizes while making a difference in our community.
Throughout the campaign, we will need your help communicating with your department about the campaign and the importance of participation. If you agree to help, we will send you an email every other week that we will ask you to forward to your department. Please respond to this email to let us know if you will help us communicate with your department!
Change for Change
Our first campaign initiative will be “Change for Change” which will run for the first two weeks of the campaign. This will be a competition between departments to see who can raise the most change. The two departments that raise the most change will receive a pizza party with pizza delivered by President Stokes and EVP Ziedonis. Salsa Showdown
This year’s Salsa Showdown will take place on October 25th from 11:30 am to 1 pm in the SUB atrium. The Salsa Showdown gives 5 Lobos the chance to showcase their amazing salsa recipe for a chance to win a 2023-2024 parking pass (equal to current UNM parking permit)! The deadline to enter your recipe is October 9th. Look for the link in the President’s Weekly Perspective on September 25th.
Prize Drawings
There will be a random drawing every other week during the campaign. The prize will be announced during the Monday Five and each person who donates during the following two weeks will be entered into a drawing for that prize. Drawing prizes will include (date winners will be announced):
