When Suspected Impairment - Supervisor's Responsibilities
Remember per the Drug Free Work Force provisions of the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), you are required as a supervisor to address these issues and cannot avoid addressing them.
Testing
You must send the employee for testing when:
- There is reasonable suspicion
- When an employee has been in a work accident or has committed an unsafe practice
- For hiring
*Testing may be possible as part of follow-up
