It’s always important to consider your well-being from a holistic point of view, including your finances. National Retirement Security Month (formerly National Retirement Security Week) coming up in October is an opportunity to think about your retirement goals and figure out if you are on-target or need to make some progress.
A new study from Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI) revealed 72% of us believe we can live comfortably in retirement, but only 29% of us feel very confident. Only 3 out of 5 of us have a very good understanding of how our retirement plans actually work. And only 38% of us have calculated how much we and our spouses or significant others will likely need to cover health care expenses in retirement.
