Gear up for an action-packed weekend as the highly anticipated Lobo Triathlon makes its grand return. The event features a Kids Race on Saturday, April 27, and an Adult Race on Sunday, April 28.
Held on campus since 2014, the Lobo Triathlon has been a beacon of excitement as participates take part in a reverse sprint distance race. This race offers an exhilarating challenge and an opportunity to give back.
The adult course remains unchanged from the previous year: a 5k run (2 laps), 12-mile bike ride (6 laps), and a 400m swim (8 lengths). Finisher medals will be awarded to all participants, graciously sponsored by our dedicated supporters, The Ellers. Age group awards will also be presented.
The run course winds around the University of New Mexico (UNM) Campus, followed by biking on a closed course around UNM, and concludes with swimming in the UNM Seidler Natatorium.
The Kids Race will take place on Saturday, April 27, while the Adult Races are scheduled for Sunday, April 28.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the UNM Health, Exercise, and Sports Sciences (HESS) Youth Camp and Graduate Student Travel. Please note that there will be no refunds, and unclaimed entries will be considered donations.
Get ready to embark on an unforgettable journey at the Lobo Triathlon – where the thrill of the race meets the joy of giving back!
