The Labor and Employee Relations (LER) staff work with employees and supervisors in support of promoting a respectful and fair workplace. In LER we primarily:
- Conduct investigations regarding employment concerns submitted through the University’s Hotline system,
- Interpret and negotiate staff union contracts,
- Provide guidance throughout the union grievance process, and
- Manage UNM’s drug testing program for all mandated federal DOT employees.
