Leadership opportunities exist at every level. Whether you have years of leadership experience or not, ULead provides a supportive and challenging environment, allowing you to uncover your innate leadership abilities and positively impact the world around you.
Join ULead Spring 2020
You will engage in 8 weeks of course work, one day per week. We will meet every Wednesday from March 11 to April 29 at the John and June Perovich Business Center - EOD Rooms 1018-1016.
During the first 4 weeks you will take leadership development courses, then, you take courses from the learning path of your preference (see options below) for 3 weeks where you will interact with others who selected the same path. On day 8, the whole group gets back together to engage in a final day of project presentations, final reflections and graduation celebration.
Core Courses of Leadership Development (Weeks 1-4)
The core leadership essentials classes include DiSC Behavioral Styles, Strategies for Influencing Others, The 5 Choices to Extraordinary Productivity, The Leadership Journey, Communication for Leadership Success, and six Critical Practices for Leading a Team.
Learning Paths (weeks 5-7)
- Project Management - From ideas to solutions, writing goals, strategic planning, etc.
- Managing Relationships in the workplace - Communication, engagement, conflict resolution, change management, Coaching: Move People forward.
- Inclusive Leadership – Multicultural Environments - Diversity and inclusion in the workplace, unconscious biases, leadership, multicultural awareness.
Presentations and Final Day (Week 8). Presentations, group project feedback, final reflections, certificates etc.
