Access with Support to Succeed that gives all who desire the opportunity to take full advantage of the wealth of resources at UNM and to be fully included in the UNM community. Examples of behavior include:
- Responsive to student needs.
- Contribute to an environment where all members can participate.
- Take advantage of opportunities to provide service to the department, the University, and the community as appropriate.
- Share knowledge and best practices by presenting at professional conferences, instructing classes, or mentoring others.
Integrity
Integrity that holds us accountable to our students, the community, and all who serve UNM's mission, to manage our resources wisely and keep our promises. Examples of behavior include:
- Consistently engage in work-related activity and make productive use of work time.
- Arrive to work on time; prudent in use of leave and adhere hence to leave policies.
- Accept responsibility and accountability for own actions.

Sustainability
Sustainability so that as we meet the needs of the present, we are not compromising the well being of future generations. Examples of behavior include:
- Reduce energy and water usage by turning off lights, faucets, and equipment when not in use.
- Reuse materials and supplies to reduce waste.
- Recycle whenever possible, re-thinking habits to purchase only when necessary.
- Purchase/use environmentally friendly products and equipment.
- Actively participate in or promote UNM sustainability efforts.
