Whether you want to learn effective communication or develop your project management skills or want to understand the UNM hiring process, EOD has course offerings this July to help you meet your goals. You can register for the Zoom courses at Learning Central.

July 15th 9:30am-11:30am
Change: How to Turn Uncertainty into Opportunity EOD466- This two-hour course will look at strategies and tools to navigate change for yourself and your team. You will gain an understanding of the Change cycle and how to move yourself and others through the various stages with the most success.

July 15th 9:00am-11:00 am
Communication: Connect through Conversations EOD492- This two-hour course will examine how we communicate with others. The role of emotional intelligence is also discussed in how we interact with those we interact with. You will gain an understanding of what can go wrong in communication and how to effectively interact with your team and others.

July 19th 9:00am-11:00am
Mastering the Art of Communication EOD400- This popular course looks at how we communicate and the major roadblocks and hurdles we encounter. We will also look at our communication style and how that may be helping or hindering us. Participants will gain practical tools to enhance communication in and out of the workplace.

July 20th 9:00-11:30am and 1:30- 3:00pm
Project Management for Unofficial Project Managers EOD196- This full-day course will give you the basics and tools to effectively project manage any project. Many staff and supervisors have taken on the role of unofficial project manager within their department or division. The lack of time management, scope creep and no formal project training all impact the possibility of project failure. This Franklin Covey class will provide participants with tools and resources to manage projects successfully. Who Should Take This Course: Supervisors and staff who coordinate department or division wide projects that involve multiple objectives that impact individuals and systems.

July 21st 10:00am-12:00pm and 1:00-3:00pm
Hire Right EOD311- This course is perfect for anyone who is involved in any aspect of the recruitment and hiring in their department. You will learn the procedures, resources and policies with hiring at UNM. Due to high demand- we will be offering two different sessions.

July 28th 9:30-11:30
Emotional Intelligence EOD281- Emotional intelligence plays a critical role in your success as an individual. Emotional intelligence includes self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management. This impact journey will help you develop your emotional intelligence and improve your effectiveness in whatever roles you play.
