The best way to protect yourself and your loved ones against influenza (flu) is to get vaccinated every
flu season. The flu is a contagious respiratory disease, and flu vaccination prevents medical visits, hospitalizations, and deaths.
UNM’s Benefits & Employee Wellness encourages all employees, their spouses/domestic partners, dependent children, and students to take advantage of no-cost flu shots. Be sure to discuss with your doctor before proceeding, to ensure that your health status warrants taking the flu vaccine. If you missed the flu shot clinics held on campus earlier in October, it is not too late to get a flu shot. You can find other clinics or opportunities in and around Albuquerque
