Human Resources is able to process employment transactions that have a budgetary impact with the approval of the President, Provost, Chancellor, Senior Vice President, or designee listed below for these areas:
The approving authorities identified in the HSC Staff Approval Matrix are for positions grade 15 and above. For grades 14 and below, only Dean/Director approval is required.
HSC Staff Approval Matrix
Unless otherwise indicated, the request should be routed in the form of a memo or electronically via the Department Approver to the responsible party prior to the Department making a request of the Division of Human Resources. If approved, the signed memo should accompany any paperwork that is forwarded to the Division of Human Resources or the record should reflect electronic approval. Please put a single request on each memo as the documentation will be filed with the transaction paperwork. We cannot have other employee's information stored in a personnel file other than their own.
Please note: Approval by the Designated Approving Authority is authorization for the Division of Human Resources to review the request according to normal guidelines and does not guarantee acceptance if policy, procedure, and other requirements have not been followed.
