Mandatory Training Assigned in Learning Central

On Feb. 4, the 2026 Mandatory Training requirements were assigned to employees through Learning Central. All University employees, including regular and temporary faculty and staff, on-all staff, and student employees (including grad students) are required to complete specific training each year. The four required for 2026 are:

  • MT 2026E or MT 2026S: Prevention of Harassment and Discrimination
  • BAST 2026: Basic Annual Safety Training
  • WPV 100: Workplace Violence Prevention
  • SANS 1001: SANS Security Awareness Training 2026: Securing the Human

With the new requirements, the University has improved the training to broaden the focus of the course to include understanding warning behaviors, preventing incidents before they escalate, and strengthening the overall safety culture across the organization.

All four training courses must be completed by Dec. 31. They are available in Learning Central and have automatically been added to each employee's learning plan.
