Open Enrollment is the time when Pre-65 retirees can make changes to their Medical and Dental plans for themselves and their enrolled pre-65 dependents. It begins Monday, May 8 and ends Friday, May 31, 2024 with plan changes effective July 1, 2024. If you do not make changes at this time, you can make changes next year during UNM’s Pre-65 Open Enrollment in May 2025, or if you experience a qualifying change in status event.
Action is not required on your part to continue current Medical or Dental Insurance coverage for yourself and dependents. However, we recommend you contact the Bursar’s Office at 505.277.5363, or Live Chat: Mon-Fri, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., to adjust your Automatic Bill Payment for any premium changes due to benefits changes you elect for July 1, 2024.
Packets containing an Open Enrollment Guide and an Open Enrollment Form with Instructions were mailed to all eligible Pre-65 retirees prior to the start of Open Enrollment. If you do not receive your packet, need assistance making changes to your benefits, need to update your address on file, or if you have questions, email HRBenefits@unm.edu.
The following changes are effective for the upcoming Fiscal Year, July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025 (FY25).
Review each plan you participate in below. Action is not required on your part if you do not want to make changes to existing medical, dental, or life insurance coverage for yourself and dependents.
If you want to make changes, click the Change Benefits button for instructions.
