Facilitation is the art of moving a group of people through meetings, planning sessions, or training, and successfully achieving a specific goal. The act of making something easier.
In group work, the facilitator works with a group of people to help them have a conversation, come to agreement, or plan for the future. In general, the facilitator is a gentle guide, making it easier for the group to have the discussion. The facilitator acts as a trusted and neutral outside voice, making decisions about the process the group goes through but allowing the group to focus on and control the content of the discussion.
EOD can assist your team or department in working through the difficult conversations or complex changes to move forward.
“Thank you again for facilitating our retreat a few weeks ago. We really appreciate the direction you gave that day. We always knew the value of having it facilitated, but you went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations.”
“We really enjoyed the session on Saturday (thanks again for agreeing to a Saturday!) and I’ve heard nothing but really positive feedback today. I think you helped lay a really solid foundation for us to move forward. We hope to have another planning session to continue on.”
“The session was very helpful for the team and for me; Several folks have remarked that the way you structured the conversation was quite effective…I felt that you provided just the right amount of guidance and structure, while allowing things to come up spontaneously and allowing the group to define its priorities.”
