Bicycling is a great way to build exercise into your day and as a bicycle friendly University, UNM makes riding your bike safe and easy. Here are several programs to help you bike to, from, and around campus.
Parking and Transportation Services offers bike racks and lockers around campus to make it easy for you to securely and safely store your bike. Check out details on the PATS bike page.
Recreational Services provides the Outdoor and Bicycle Shop in Johnson Center. They are a complete bicycle repair facility, servicing all makes and models of bikes. They also rent bikes by the day or week.
The UNM Police Department recommends registering your bike. Registration is free. Contact campus police for more information.
The City of Albuquerque offers information about bicycling in the city, including comprehensive bike trail maps, safety tips, and a bi-monthly E-newsletter.
The city Parks and Recreation Department also hosts bike safety and maintenance classes to help you make the most out of your bike and commute.
